Pas is done with DAP and PKR

KUALA LUMPUR: Pas will no longer be used, as how it was used by DAP and PKR, in the 13th general election (GE13).

Pas ulama leader Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali At-Takiri said Dap and PKR had won their respective seats in GE13 with the aid of the Pas machinery and the votes from party members.

He said these two parties in turn however attacked the various Islamic agenda which Pas had fought for.

“Thus in GE14, the Pas machinery will focus on winning through Gagasan Rakyat by going against Umno/BN and PH (Pakatan Harapan),” he said.

Khairuddin said Pas is seeking to win five states in the next general election as well as to become the dominant party at the federal level.

“PH is not the future of Malaysians. Their short term struggle is to only bring down Najib and not change the policy of the ruling BN,” he said.

He adds that PAS’ struggle is to not only bring about a change in the government but also that the government is based on Islamic principles.

Khairuddin’s remarks comes on the heel of Pakatan Harapan’s statement earlier today, where the pact said that it will not cooperate with Pas in the next polls.

“We will not cooperate with Pas in the 14th general election,” said the statement

Instead, the pact said that it is preparing its preparing for the possibility of a three-cornered contests for the polls.
