Dr M, Kit Siang will 'eat each other' if Pakatan wins GE14, says Annuar Musa

ALOR GAJAH: Pakatan Harapan will be at each other’s throats if they win the upcoming 14th General Election, said Umno information chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa.

He said this was based on the “characteristics” displayed by DAP adviser Lim Kit Siang and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

“I believe once they (Kit Siang and Dr Mahathir) are done working together against their common enemy, they will ‘eat’ each other.

“If they win, this country will have a government that is unstable, a government whose leaders are vying for power and a government whose policy is about contradicting each other,” he said during a press conference here today.

Annuar, who is also Ketereh member of parliament, said the country would become unstable and disharmonious if Pakatan Harapan came to power.

“There wont be BR1M (1Malaysia People's Aid) anymore. We leave it to the people to choose,” he said, claiming that both Kit Siang and Dr Mahathir wanted to retain their political dominance.

He also accused DAP of being anti-democratic.

“DAP label themselves as democratic but action-wise, they are undemocratic.

“Unlike Umno, DAP’s system only allows party grassroots to vote for the Central Executive Committee (CEC), which in turn appoints office bearers so that the ‘Lim Dynasty’ can stay in power,” he said.

He said this was why several DAP members were sidelined by the party whenever they disagreed with Kit Siang.

“This is why there was a rift in Melaka. In Melaka, there were outspoken leaders who could not follow Kit Siang and (his son) Lim Guan Eng.

“The crisis led to many DAP leaders leaving the party and this will continue to happen because DAP is not democratic enough.”

Annuar was referring to the resignations of four DAP elected representatives in Melaka in February.

He also likened Dr Mahathir to Kit Siang, claiming the former premier wanted Pakatan Harapan to adhere to his wishes.

“In PPBM, the president and their members have no right to speak. It is a one-man show for Dr Mahathir, who tries hard to relive his former administration.

“He wants to push everyone to follow his style and follow what he decides. This is very similar to Kit Siang.”

He added that Kit Siang’s recent statements on Islamic matters showed that he was in control of Pakatan Harapan as he could speak freely on sensitive issues related to Islam.

Annuar had earlier attended the ‘Program Transformasi Negara Beliawanis Parlimen Ketereh’ at Kem Bina Negara in Hutan Percha here, today.
