Zahid meets Sabah BN and Umno

KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi attended a closed-door meeting with Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) and state Umno liaison committee at Le Meridien Hotel here, tonight.

Arriving at 8.35pm, the Umno vice-president was accompanied by Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman, who is also state BN and Umno liaison chief.

The meeting was also attended by leaders of Sabah BN component parties Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko), Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), Gerakan, MCA, and MIC.

Among those present were Deputy Chief Minister cum PBS president Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan, Upko president Datuk Seri Wilfred Madius Tangau, LDP president Datuk Seri Teo Chee Kang, and PBRS president Tan Sri Joseph Kurup.

Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan, who is also the state BN secretary, was also present.

The closed-door meeting is expected to discuss on issues related to the upcoming 14th General Election in Sabah and the coalition preparation.

Earlier, Zahid attended a closed-door meeting on security at the state police headquarters in Kepayan here.
