Four Selangor Pas assemblymen get annual allocations

SHAH ALAM: Only four out of 13 Pas Selangor assemblymen have received their annual development allocations for their respective constituencies.

Selangor Pas leadership had earlier claimed that the state government had frozen the annual allocations meant for the party’s state representatives.

Its state commissioner Sallehen Mukhyi had said the state economic planning unit had informed him that the Pas assemblymen would not be getting this year’s RM800,000 allocation meant for them.

However, today Sallehan said the four elected representatives have submitted their claims to their respective district offices for approval.

“The remaining nine assemblymen have yet to receive their allocation and have been using forking out money out of their own pockets to run programmes,” he said after attending the Opening Ceremony of the sixth sitting of the 13th Selangor State Assembly here today.

Sallehen, who is also Sabak assemblyman, said the four who received the allocations were assemblymen from Paya Jaras, Mohd Khairuddin Othman, Dusun Tua’s Razaly Hassan, Templer’s Zaidy Abdul Talib, and Seri Serdang’s Noor Hanim Ismail.

Sallehen had in February reportedly said nine Selangor Pas assemblymen had to use their own money, amounting to RM693,000, to carry out social aid programmes in their respective areas.

He also took a swipe at Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali, who is also PKR deputy president for acting against his pledge that he will prioritise the people of Selangor.
