PASIR GUDANG: Pakatan Harapan chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has announced that all four parties in the opposition pact would use the Parti Keadilan Rakyat's (PKR) logo during the impending 14th General Election.
He announced this at a Jelajah Pakatan Harapan gathering in Taman Bukit Dahlia, here.
Dr Mahathir said PKR, DAP, Parti Amanah Negara (PAN) and Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM) had all agreed to this.
"I am happy to announce to all in Malaysia and the world that in GE14, we will use one symbol, the PKR logo.
"It is not easy asking each party in PH to drop their respective logos. DAP has been using its rocket symbol for almost 60 years and the others love their logos as well.
"However, for unity's sake, all four parties have agreed to use one logo. I am glad because this was impossible to achieve in the past," said Dr Mahathir.
At the event, PH also announced two manifestos for the people of Johor, namely 10 promises to be fulfilled in the next five years and 10 promises to be fulfilled in the first 100 days of forming a state government.
The offers included reintroducing the Johor state scholarship, establishing a Universiti Johor, job opportunities and affordable housing.
Also present at the event were Pakatan Harapan deputy president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, PKR president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, PAN president Mohamad Sabu and DAP secretary-general Lim Guan Eng.
