This was in spite of him not holding any position in the party.

All the Johor MCA candidates were unveiled by party president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai at the MCA Mega Ceramah at Dewan Persatuan Memperbaiki Akhlak Che Ann Khor, Yong Peng, near here today.

Liow described the state party candidates as a line-up comprising old and new faces capable of giving a surprise in GE14.

“MCA is confident that the announced candidates are capable of helping BN defend Johor as a party stronghold,” he said.

Meanwhile, Wee said that the list of Johor MCA candidates was finalised during a discussion with Prime Minister and BN chairman, Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“This time there were no issues. What is important is that we want all the announced candidates to immediately come down to the ground to face GE14,” he said.
