Clash in opposition's ideologies will destroy the opposition: Najib Razak

POKOK SENA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has reiterated that the clash of ideologies among the opposition pact will only disrupt the government administration and put pressure on the country’s economy and the people, if they come into power.

Najib said this was evident when the top leader in the opposition group claimed an interview with Singapore media that his coalition partners were “very socialistic”.

In fact he said, this particular leader also admitted that the pact is unable to fulfil all the promises made in their manifesto.

“Before it starts, there is already a clash in ideologies. This will lead to clashes in policies, not uniting them, especially in government administration.

“The weakness in the opposition pact is not a small matter because clash in ideologies with cause disagreement. It is serious because the people will be the one who will suffer.

“The people will endure losses because the opposition manifesto will only be left on paper and could not be translated into reality,” he said.

The Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman added that the people should ask themselves, if the opposition fails to unite like BN, who could ensure them a better tomorrow?

Najib said this in his speech when launching the 1Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Scheme (PPA1M) Bukit Pinang at Kampung Padang Tembak, here Sunday.

The PPA1M project today involves three phases of mix housing schemes with prices ranging from RM173,560 to RM355,360.

The first phase will involve 183 units of double-storey terrace houses.

The second phase will consists of four 10-storey apartment blocks with 504 units, a two-storey community building with nine shop lots, cafetaria, kindergarten, multipurpose hall, library and a surau.

As for the third phase, it will see the construction of 172 units of double-storey terrace houses.
