KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Barisan Nasional (BN) is expected to unveil their candidates list on Thursday, according to sources within the coalition.
With the state BN manifesto scheduled to be launched on Wednesday night, it will then pave the way towards the announcement of candidates the following day.
In the previous election, component parties here made their own respective announcements on their candidates list.
But this time, it is likely that Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman as Sabah BN chairman will announce all the candidates simultaneously.
“It will be from the CM (Musa Aman) for the whole of Sabah (BN). He (Musa) is leaving for Kuala Lumpur to pick up the final list from PM (Datuk Seri Najib Razak), “according to one of the sources, but did not elaborate further on the timing of the trip.
Besides Umno, MCA, Gerakan and MIC, BN component parties in Sabah are Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS), United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (Upko), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) and Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS). There are no seats allotted for MIC.
