Fourteen new BN faces in Melaka for GE14 [NSTTV]

MELAKA: Fourteen new Barisan Nasional (BN) candidates will make their debut in the 14th General Election (GE14) in Melaka.

State BN Chief Datuk Idris Haron said three new candidates have been nominated for Parliament and 11 for state seats.

Idris himself will defend his Sungai Udang state seat, whereas his predecessor Tan Sri Mohd Ali Rustam has been re-nominated for the Hang Tuah Jaya Parliament seat for the polls.

Puteri Umno Chief and Deputy Tourism Minister Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin will defend her Masjid Tanah Parliament seat.

Science, Technology and Innovation deputy Minister Datuk Dr Abu Bakar Mohammad Diah has been moved from his Tangga Batu Parliament seat to contest the state seat of Paya Rumput.

Meanwhile, Melaka MCA Chief Datuk Lim Ban Hong (Kelebang) and MCA nominees Datuk Ng Choon Koon (kesidang) and Datuk Koh Nai Kwong (Machap Jaya) will defend their respective state seats in the polls.
