Free fuel for motorcyclists in Brickfields [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Some 400 motorcyclists thronged a petrol station in Brickfields this evening for free petrol fill-ups by Bukit Bintang MCA Wanita chief Ann Tan Ean Ean.

Ann Tan was among the nesw faces announced by Federal Territories Barisan Nasional (BN) as candidate to contest in the general election.

She is set to contest in Bukit Bintang parliamentary seat.

According to Ann Tan, the free petrol fill-ups programme called “Jom Isi Minyak” was mooted last year at a few petrol stations in the city.

“I hope this programme will continue to be held up to the polling day (May 9) as it will benefit many motorcyclists especially those heading back home from work.

“However, the implementation of the programme depends on the budget that is available,” she said when met during the programme.

On her chances of winning Bukit Bintang parliamentary seat, Ann Tan, who is also a lawyer, said she is confident of winning the voters’ heart.

“I will use the strategy of patience and loving woman as well as my credibility as a law practitioner to help the people in the constituency to overcome their daily problems, to take care of the area cleanliness and ensure safety as well as to give legal advice.

“My visit to the Bukit Bintang parliamentary constituency is well-received by the people there and I am calling them to choose a representative that can really serve them well.”
