PORT DICKSON: Three Barisan Nasional (BN) billboards within the Chuah state constituency, here, depicting the pictures of Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan were smeared with red paint.
Chuah BN candidate for the upcoming 14th General Election (GE14), Datuk Seri Dr Lim Chin Fui said the three billboards were located at the intersection of Tanah Merah Site C and the intersection from Pekan Chuah to Kampung Pachitan.
"I was informed by BN workers this morning and rushed to the scene. As of now, we found three billboards with the MB's picture splashed with red paint.
"As a BN candidate in Chuah, I am saddened by this kind of childish and dirty political tactic," he told reporters when met at the district police headquarters here while observing the early voting process.
He informed that a police report has been made and expressed hope that police will investigate the matter.
Meanwhile, Port Dickson district police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad confirmed a police report has been received on the incident.
Police are investigating the matter under Section 427 of the Penal Code for mischief.
