Azmin, Azwan avoid each other at Klang Gate polling centre

GOMBAK: PKR's Bukit Antarabangsa candidate, Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali has avoided meeting his brother, Azwan who is fighting against him for the state seat, at the polling centre, here, this morning.

The PKR deputy president, who is also an incumbent at the area, arrived at the SK Klang Gate polling centre at 8.25am, not long after Azwan, popularly known as Diva AA, had cast his vote.

When asked if he had met Azwan, Azmin avoided answering the question, saying that his presence was to fulfil his responsibility as a voter.

He also expressed confidence that the opposition coalition, Pakatan Harapan, will continue to run the state, as it has done since 2008.

Azmin spent about an hour at the polling centre miggling with other voters, including his sister and aunt.

Earlier, Azwan who was asked the same question, said he preferred Azmin to see him.

"I know as a younger brother, I should go to him but it is not me who had done wrong.

"If he felt he is on the right path, so be it. I am not going to create a scene here, in such a respectable place like this." he said.

Azwan has been vocal in condemning his brother all this while. In recent months, he also lodged a report with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) against Azmin, alleging abuse of power and corrupt practices.
