Annuar Musa defends Ketereh seat with bigger majority

KOTA BARU: Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate for Ketereh, Tan Sri Annuar Musa retained the Ketereh parliamentary constituency with a bigger majority of 4,626 votes, compared with 974 votes in the 13th General Election (GE13).

Annuar, who is Umno information chief, garnered 25467 votes, followed by Pas’ candidate Wan Ismail Wan Jusoh with 20,841 votes and PKR’s Dr Mohd Radzi Mohd Jidin 6,799 votes.

“Alhamdulillah, the majority of votes in the 14th General Election (GE14) is the biggest I have experienced in general elections and I have my voters to thank for. I am grateful that I have once again given the mandate to represent and develop Ketereh.

“However, I may face challenges in my role as member of parliament in Dewan Rakyat.

“The political landscape in the country will see changes,” he said when met at the vote tabulation centre, Politeknik Kota Bharu today.

BN candidate for Kok Lanas state constituency, Datuk Md Alwi Che Ahmad also defended the seat with a majority of 1,122 votes compared with 169 votes in GE13.
