KUALA PILAH: Negri Sembilan PKR chairman Aminuddin Harun is expected to be sworn in as menteri besar at Istana Besar Seri Menanti soon.
The Sikamat assemblyman handed his letter of appointment as menteri besar to Yang di-Pertuan Besar Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir today.
“Tuanku Muhriz was pleased to meet the 20 Pakatan Harapan elected representatives who won in the 14th general election (GE14) yesterday,” he told a press conference after meeting Tuanku Muhriz at Istana Besar Seri Menanti here today.
“We talked about issues and problems, and development that would be brought to Negri Sembilan.
Aminuddin said Tuanku Muhriz was expected to set the date for the swearing-in and oath taking ceremony as soon as possible.
He said the state PKR had yet to decide on the state cabinet as it was focusing on the appointment of the menteri besar.
He said he and his team would meet former menteri besar Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan after his inauguration.
“We will meet him in a friendly atmosphere and exchange views,” Aminuddin said.
He urged Pakatan Harapan supporters to stay calm and avoid provocative behaviour, especially in the Wisma Negeri area here.
“We want the transition of power to happen in a calm environment. We will organise a celebration for our victory soon,” he said.
