KUCHING: Works Minister Baru Bian has been re-appointed as chairman of Sarawak PKR.
In a statement here tonight, PKR said Baru – who is also Selangau MP – was re-appointed to the post following consultations between PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and PKR division chiefs in Sarawak.
However, Baru, 60, was absent from the meeting between Anwar and the chiefs here yesterday, owing to an official engagement in Lawas.
Speaking on behalf of Anwar in Kuala Lumpur, meanwhile, Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil said Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department and Kuantan MP Fuziah Salleh was appointed as Pahang PKR chairman today.
