BN can win with majority of more than 3,000 votes in Semenyih: Annuar

SEMENYIH: Barisan Nasional (BN) in confident in securing a win at the Semenyih by-election with more than 3,000 majority votes from Orang Asli community.

Umno secretary general Tan Sri Annuar Musa said Orang Asli voters are crucial for the coalition to win the by-election.

He said this during his speech at the Kampung Orang Asli, Sungai Lalang Baru here.

“Let us break Cameron Highlands by-election record, if the residents in Pahang can vote for BN with 3,000 votes (majority), so too can the constituents in Selangor.

“We can do this, the voters must be brave to make it happen.

“We will open a new chapter for the Orang Asli community.

“Now, BN has a member of parliament who is an Orang Asli, this is a big win as well and that you now have a voice.

“This time, show that we are united by voting for BN,” he said.

Also present during the BN campaign round is Cameron Highlands member of parliament Ramli Mohd Noor.

There are around less than one per cent of Orang Asli voters in Semenyih with a majority being the Malays at 69.2 percent, Chinese at 16.8 per cent and Indians at 13.3 per cent.
