PUTRAJAYA: Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad reaffirmed that he has different views with Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on Umno.
The interim Prime Minister reiterated that he could never accept Umno as a component party under a political coalition with Bersatu.
“My position is that I will not accept Umno as a component party.
“However, I will accept (former) members (of Umno) who join (a component party under the same political coalition with Bersatu).
“But (Bersatu president) Tan Sri Muhyiddin is more relaxed on that. He is quite prepared to accept them (Umno) as ‘en bloc’,” he told reporters at a press conference after announcing the 2020 Economic Stimulus Package, here, today.
