'BersatuXUmno - a winning combo'

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and Sabah Umno should join hands against Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) and its allies in the upcoming state election.

Sabah Bersatu information chief Khairul Firdaus Akbar in a statement said the main focus of the partnership would centre on rights of the people and state development.

The joint leadership would also include young leaders in the administration and development of Sabah.

"Sabah Bersatu liaison chief Datuk Seri Hajiji Mohd Noor and Sabah Umno chief Datuk Seri Bung Mokhtar Radin will form the best combination to lead the fight against Warisan.

"It will elicit a new hope for the people of Sabah. Therefore, the people of Sabah are urged to provide the opportunity and space for the joint leadership to head the state government."

Khairull said the Umno-Bersatu alliance would be a boon to the Perikatan Nasional (PN) federal government and subsequently serve as an advantage in the state, should the partnership materialise.

Previously it was reported Sabah Bersatu would run for 45 out of the 73 state seats while Sabah Umno was eyeing for more than 32.
