KUALA LUMPUR: Several entourages believed to be carrying government top brass have been spotted entering Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin's house near Bukit Damansara here this morning.
The entourages believed to be carrying Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri, Attnorney-General Tan Sri Idrus Harun, and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein arrived as early as 9.40am today.
The presence of other Cabinet ministers could not be confirmed as they arrived via their personal vehicles.
Pressmen started to gather near Muhyiddin's residence at Jalan Setia Bakti 7 today when Umno announced it has withdrawn its support for him as the prime minister last night.
Its president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the Umno supreme council meeting decided to retract its support for Muhyiddin effective immediately.
Umno also urged Muhyiddin to step down and make way for a new prime minister to be appointed for a limited period to manage the Covid-19 pandemic.
