Paloh BN candidate eyeing agro- and eco-tourism sector

KLUANG: Barisan Nasional candidate for Paloh, Lee Ting Han, is determined to use his experience as a legal practitioner and civil servant to serve the people in the constituency as an assemblyman.

Lee, a native of Chamek here, is a law graduate from Universiti Malaya.

He also has a master's degree in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge, the United Kingdom.

Lee said he wanted to improve the livelihood of the people of Paloh, including by enhancing job opportunities for young people and protecting the welfare of the elderly.

"If given the mandate as the Paloh assemblyman, I plan to develop the agro- and eco-tourism sector in the area.

"The government previously planned to build a road from Paloh to Bekok.

"The electrified double tracking rail project, which is expected to be completed in 2024 and operational by 2026, will also pass through Paloh. These projects will present multiple economic opportunities, including attracting local and foreign tourists.

"These opportunities will enable the youths to stay in Paloh and open businesses which in turn will make the elderly happy since their children don't have to move away.

"Youths need quality jobs. They move to big cities like Johor Baru, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore to earn a living," said Lee at the Paloh MCA office.

He said he was grateful that Sembrong member of parliament Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein was always concerned about the needs of people in Paloh.

He was confident that voters would support BN in the state polls because they wanted a government which is stable.

"There are about 26,000 voters in Paloh, including 4,000 new and young voters. They are tired of the never-ending political drama, so their response has been very encouraging as BN has a good track record."

Lee said he also wanted to uphold the aspirations of Tunku Mahkota Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim for youth development programmes.

"The Tunku Mahkota Ismail Youth Centre will be expanded to every district, and this is very good as the centre is a platform for youths to engage in sports, culture, leadership programmes and economic activities."
