PUTRAJAYA: The meeting between Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and several Umno leaders has concluded.
The prime minister's official vehicle was seen leaving the Seri Perdana Complex through the main gate at 9.11pm.
However, the vehicles of some Umno leaders were still in the complex.
It is understood that Ismail Sabri's meeting with Umno leaders did not see the presence of party president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
Several Umno leaders were seen entering the Seri Perdana Complex from 6pm onwards.
Seen entering the complex was the vehicle belonging to Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mahdzir Khalid around 6pm.
An hour later, two Toyota Vellfires were parked in front of the complex's guard station, but it was unclear who was inside.
The prime minister, who is also an Umno vice-president and Bera Umno division chief, did not attend an emergency meeting at the Umno headquarters in Kuala Lumpur today.
A majority of Umno divisions nationwide following the meeting called for the 15th general election to be held immediately.
Sungai Besar Umno division chief Datuk Seri Jamal Md Yunos said the wish was conveyed in an emergency meeting between them and Zahid.
