Zahid: Don't treat GE15 as an experiment

KUALA LUMPUR: Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today urged voters not to treat the 15th General Election (GE15) as an experiment.

He said in the last election, Pakatan Harapan, which had governed the nation for 22 months, was not performing.

"PH is persuading the 'rakyat' to re-elect them as the government in GE15, do they think Malaysians are so easy to be swayed by their propaganda after what had happened during their 22-month administration?

"A handful of Malaysians experimented in GE14, and the outcome of the May 9 election was awful.

"Economic decline, financial disarray, political instability, disrupted harmony, people's welfare reduced; country's assets 'auctioned off' indiscriminately, projects for the people being awarded to cronies, businesses ceasing operation, unemployments, etc.

"The PH government took politics more seriously than serving the people," he said in a Facebook post today.

As such, he said, people must not repeat 'the same mistake' in the upcoming GE on Nov 19.

"Barisan Nasional government is proven to be more credible, experienced and stable.

"It is predicted that there will be a global recession next year which will hit Malaysia. So, don't gamble with the future of the country by choosing PH.

"Insya-Allah (God willing), we are confident that the people will not be deceived again, majority of the people will act rationally by choosing stability and prosperity, not choosing PH's political interests in GE15.

"It is better that we eliminate them early so that they do not damage the country and the well-being of the community again."
