Pro-communist claim: Hadi Awang to DAP - "I'll see you in court" [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Pas president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang remains adamant that DAP is a "pro-communist" party.

Hadi also said there was no reason to withdraw the recent statement he made on the matter and even claimed to have evidence to prove it.

"I'm not afraid and I will not apologise for the statement. (I'll) see you in court.

"I have to say, not all DAP leaders are like that (pro-communists), but I know those who are," he said when met at an event on Jalan Gombak here today.

Hadi said he had also given his statement on the matter at the Federal Police headquarters.

He said DAP, for instance, had called for the government to bring back the ashes of exiled communist politician Chin Peng from Thailand.

Pakatan Harapan leaders had slammed Hadi over his claim that DAP was pro-communist, with its national chairman Lim Guan Eng was reported as saying that the allegation was "pure fakery" and smacked of hypocrisy.

Some of them had lodged police reports on the matter.
