GE15: Faizal describes himself as 'Ultraman' going against 'Godzilla'

TAMBUN: "My chances are looking positive, as I'm going against Godzilla. I am Ultraman."

This was what Tambun parliamentary candidate, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu told reporters after casting his vote at Sekolah Agama Rakyat Al-Ihtidayah in Tambun Heights today.

The Perikatan Nasional candidate also commented about every Malaysian's hope to obtain the general election results within a reasonable time tonight.

He said he hoped Malaysians need not wait until the wee hours tomorrow to know the official results.

He said the Election Commission has enough officers to conduct the vote-counting process, and due to technology which should be more advanced than in the last general election in 2018.

"I believe it should not be difficult to count votes. I do hope we do not have to wait till midnight (for results)."

Faizal then expressed his condolences to the family of Md Yunus Ramli, the Perikatan Nasional candidate for the Tioman state seat in Pahang who died earlier this morning due to heart complications.

Faizal and his wife, Datin Seri Nomee Ashikin, were among the first to arrive at the Sekolah Agama Rakyat Al-Ihtidayah to cast their votes for the Tambun parliamentary seat and Hulu Kinta state seat.

The former Tambun MP is defending his seat up against Pakatan Harapan's Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Barisan Nasional's Aminuddin Hanafiah and Pejuang's Abdul Rahim Tahir.
