KUALA LUMPUR: Pas has demanded that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim provide evidence that Perikatan Nasional (PN) had received fundings from gaming companies for the recent general election.
Pas secretary general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the party regrets the prime minister's slanderous accusations that implied PN's election campaign had been funded by gaming companies.
"The accusation is baseless and Pas demands that the prime minister provide clear evidence on the wild accusation. If he fails to do so, PN will consider taking legal action," said Takiyuddin in a statement.
Yesterday, Anwar appeared to imply that PN's election funds partly came from gaming companies involved with special draws.
