GE15: PN is leading in Padang Serai, PH tailing by nearly 7,000 votes gap

PADANG SERAI: Perikatan Nasional (PN) is leading in the Padang Serai parliamentary election with nearly 7,000 majority votes.

Based on an unofficial result as of 9pm, PN candidate Datuk Azman Nasrudin garnered 21,664 votes while Pakatan Harapan (PH) candidate Dr Mohamad Sofee Razak secured 14,736 votes.

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Datuk C. Sivaraj who announced his withdrawal from the race on Dec 2 to make way for PH, had 1,490 votes.

Parti Warisan (Warisan) candidate Mohd Bakhri Hashim, who had also withdrawn from the contest, managed to poll 352 votes.

Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) candidate Hamzah Abd Rahman looks set to join the long list of Pejuang candidates who have burned their election deposits as he only managed to get 214 votes while independent candidate Sreanandha Rao only obtained 85 votes.
