Nik Nazmi says Hamzah still continuing efforts to overthrow govt the 'Sheraton Move' way

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin should just be focusing on playing a role as an effective opposition, and not repeat the Sheraton Move.

PKR vice president Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said this when responding to what the opposition leader had said yesterday about Perikatan Nasional keeping its options open when it comes to possible alliances with other coalitions, including Barisan Nasional.

"Hamzah Zainudin still cannot accept that a unity government has been established, and instead, he is still continuing the effort to overthrow the government like the Sheraton Move.

"Focus on being an effective opposition.

"The rakyat are still struggling to get out of the pandemic, and facing inflation and other problems. Perikatan Nasional still wants to seize power using 'pintu belakang' (back door)," said Nik Nazmi in a tweet yesterday.

Yesterday, Hamzah told the latest edition of the Concord Club talk series initiated by veteran journalists that he was not opposed to an alliance with other coalitions if all PN component parties agreed to it.

He had also been asked about whether PN was returning to power through new alliances, to which Hamzah replied: "The door is always open."
