Investigations opened following Farhash's police report

KUALA LUMPUR: Police have opened an investigation following a police report made by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's former political aide, Datuk Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain confirmed the matter and said police were conducting an investigation.

"Yes, we have received the police report and have opened an investigation," he briefly said when met by reporters at the Passing Out Parade ceremony at the Police Training Centre (Pulapol) here today.

The police report comes after Farhash said he would lodge a police report against Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) Youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal.

This was following claims by Wan Fayhsal that two individuals were responsible for 'pursuing' several opposition members to urge them to support Anwar's leadership.

He had claimed the two individuals were 'Datuk Botak' and Anwar's former political aide, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Farhash on Nov 14 had denied any involvement in pursuing several opposition members to support the leadership of the prime minister. He had said he has no knowledge of the baseless allegations made against him by Wan Fayhsal.
