Unofficial results : Pas set for another landslide victory in Kemaman

KEMAMAN: Pas appears to be heading for another whopping majority victory in the Kemaman parliamentary seat by-election today.

Unofficial results showed Pas leading 36,920 majority surpassing the 27,000-vote majority achieved during the 15th general election (GE15) in November.

Perikatan Nasional (PN)'s Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar secured 64,475 votes so far, whereas Barisan Nasional (BN)'s General (Rtd) Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor managed to garner 27,555 votes.

Ballots from 244 out of 249 polling streams have been counted at press time.

During the GE15, Pas candidate Che Alias Hamid won the Kemaman parliamentary seat with a majority of 27,179 votes, defeating three other contenders.

BN's Datuk Seri Ahmad Said garnered 38,535 votes while two other contenders were Rosli Ab. Ghani (Pejuang) and Hasuni Sudin (Pakatan Harapan) who obtained 506 votes and 8,340 votes, respectively.
