No facilities for elderly in malls

DISABLED-FRIENDLY features in public places and buildings for the elderly and disabled are few and far between.

Seats for the elderly and disabled in shopping malls don’t exist, and railings on staircases are hard to come by.

Seniors are at the mercy of motorists when crossing roads.

I am happy to see that some Hindu temples keep chairs at the back of temples for the elderly and disabled to sit and pray.

Malaysia is becoming an ageing society, so it’s vital that disabled-friendly features are available in public spaces and buildings.
