Lapse of security at Kuala Lumpur International Airport

I WOULD like to highlight what appears to be a lapse of security at Kuala Lumpur International Airport. I was impressed with the thorough security and patting down of all passengers at gate H10 when I took Flight MH619 on July 7 to Singapore.

What startled me was how, when I entered the holding room, another door was wide open and people were just walking in and out without any security checks. This was supposedly at gate B11.

I enquired and was informed that these were passengers on domestic Malindo flight OD2104 to Penang and no further security check was required. This was shocking because both flight passengers were sharing the same common holding room!

This is absolutely a lapse in security and I hope Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad can provide an explanation. If this is an oversight, it is dangerous, and new guidelines must be urgently instituted before any untoward incident happens, such as unscrupulous passengers taking advantage of this loophole. I hope MAHB will respond immediately.
