Creating Israel on US territory will end Middle East conflict

LETTERS: AS many people around the world wait for the arrival of the New Year with excitement, Palestinians in the Gaza Strip are suffering from Israeli brutality since Hamas attacks on Oct 7.

It is regrettable that the world can only watch this tragedy unfold as the United Nations (UN) has failed to end this conflict.

As the Israeli army continues its aggression against the Palestinians, the United States pledged its full support to the Zionist regime.

President Joe Biden's promise for the US to "stand with Israel" is a continuation of a special relationship that dates back to 1948, when President Harry Truman became the first world leader to recognise the Jewish state, moments after its creation.

There's a kibbutz (settlement) named after Truman in Israel, and the US provides billions of dollars in military and financial aid to Israel each year. Regardless of the crimes and atrocities committed by Israel towards the Palestinians, the US always stand with Israel.

Until today, the US has vetoed 46 UN resolutions concerning Israel, including over Israel's invasion of southern Lebanon as well as the annexation of the Syrian Golan Heights.

In 2019, Washington formally recognised Israeli sovereignty over the whole city of Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, reversing decades of US policy.

Since the US has a special fondness for Israel, it should also donate a piece of land in the US for the creation of Israel as a sign of their deep love and devotion towards Israel.

The US has a large land area, covering of 50 states, a federal district, five major unincorporated territories, and nine minor outlying islands. It includes 326 Indian reservations. It is the world's third-largest country by both land and total area.

It shares land borders with Canada to its north and with Mexico to its south, and has maritime borders with the Bahamas, Cuba and other nations. There are many areas in the US which can be use to establish Israel far away from danger.

By creating Israel inside the US, the Israelis can enjoy peace and security, which they hope for. The US can easily look after their safety and reduce a lot of their financial and military burden.

This proposal would able to put an end to the Middle East conflict, which has spanned for more than seven decades.
