ECO Sanctuary, located south of Kota Kemuning and about 40km from Kuala Lumpur, offers a rejuvenating resort-like environment that promotes greenery and sustainable living.
The luxury eco-themed gated and guarded township is spread across 124.6ha of undulating land.
Launched in 2015, Eco Sanctuary boasts an array of residential and commercial properties such as super bungalows, bungalows, semi-detached homes, super-linked houses, condominiums and lifestyle shop offices.
There will be a total of 4,000 houses in Eco Sanctuary, with a gross development value of RM8 billion.
EcoWorld Development Group Bhd divisional general manager Ho Kwee Hong said the project was expected to be fully completed in the next 10 years.
According to Ho, EcoWorld drew its inspiration from the many resorts and high-end housing areas in Southeast Asia, including Singapore in designing and planning Eco Sanctuary.
“People want to be associated with high-end living and to possess something unique. Eco Sanctuary offers modern housing design and landscaping that gives a luxury feel to the entire project.
“It will be a place you can be proud of because all that you see here is one-of-a-kind, be it the lush greenery, the masterplan or amenities,” she told NST Property recently.
Greenest township
Ho said Eco Sanctuary was designed with a green concept in mind, where it has more than 25 per cent of greenery in each development parcel.
“It is the greenest township in EcoWorld because of the conservation and preservation efforts that we have undertaken. For instance, we have transplanted more than 700 trees (from the pre developed land) into the gated and guarded township.
“Our landscape team worked together with the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia (FRIM) for two months to conduct a thorough study identifying the trees worth to conserve and preserve,” she said.
Ho described Eco Sanctuary as a “self-contained integrated township” that has something to offer to residents of all age group.
“We wanted to turn this sanctuary into a lifetime development not only suitable for young families, but also for families as they grow older.”
She noted that among the facilities catered to senior citizens were the gazebos and pedestrian paths, with benches installed at smaller intervals (about 10 to 20 metres between each bench).
“We have also placed benches at the back-lanes of houses. This will encourage them to come out from their homes, which also promotes healthy living. We are very much focused on providing components that care for the wellness of the young and old.”
Ho said each gated and guarded parcel also houses a residents-only clubhouse with facilities such as entertainment hall, barbeque area, swimming pools, gym and jacuzzi.
Besides, there is a multipurpose court, outdoor fitness station, action stations (for those aged between six and 17) and a over 30km of cycling paths.
Unlike conventional housing areas the back-lanes of houses were turned into linear gardens, pathways and cycling lanes ranging between 30ft to 150ft wide, said Ho.
For shopping, entertainment and food and beverage, she said residents can head to the Eco Sanctuary City, which houses 154 lifestyle shop offices (Eco Somerset I and II), office towers, service apartments, a mall (expected to be ready by early next year), education institution, convention centre, hotel and wellness centre.
Ho was also quick to point that the development was strategically located, providing easy access via major highways such as Elite, Kesas and South Klang Valley Expressway.
“This cuts short the travelling time to areas like Putrajaya, Cyberjaya, Puchong and Subang. It only takes about 30 minutes to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
“There are also schools in the vicinity, hospital (Columbia Asia Hospital) located about 20 minutes away and shopping and eateries nearby.”
Ho said Eco Sanctuary offers a three-tier security system — a QR code identification system, three metre high fence around the area, CCTV cameras, individual home alarm systems as well as security guards to patrol the area.
Since June 2015, the township has launched Monterey, Terraza and Grandezza landed homes as well as The Parque Residences condominium.
The 353 Monterey bungalow units and 358 Terraza double-storey super link houses are ready for vacant possession.
The 260 Grandezza bungalow units and semi-detached homes, launched in September 2017, are scheduled for completion in the next two years.
Prices for Monterey start from RM1.8 million, Terraza from RM1.3 million, while Grandezza cost RM1.9 million and above.
The Parque Residences, seated on a 10.92ha, has 594 luxury condominium units and is equipped with various amenities. This includes, pool, herb garden, yoga deck, gym, convenience centre, waterpark, playground, sports area, reading area, steam room, jacuzzi, garden and gazebo.
It also has the Eco Sanctuary Care Hub, Malaysia’s first 24/7 in-condominium care service designed to provide a comprehensive range of care and wellness services. It offers 24/7 nurse service and monthly doctor visit.
Ho said Monterey and Terraza units and 60 per cent of Grandezza have already been sold.
