Inaugural MyRumah exhibition in Kuantan caters for people from all walks of life

KUANTAN: Aspiring home buyers and property investors in the east coast can look forward to visit the New Straits Times Press (NSTP) 2019 MyRumah Property Showcase which will make its debut here next week.

The three-day event, starting Sept 20, features six property developers and three non-developers offering 1,437 units of residential and commercial properties with a total gross development value of more than RM323 million.

MyRumah - a one-stop platform for property consultation and home purchase - was previously held in Kuala Lumpur, Melaka and Johor.

The Kuantan-leg of the showcase, which will be held at the Kuantan City Mall, is the first since it was first held in 2016.

NSTP Advertisement Sales - Agency & Corporate Advertisement General Manager Roche Chew said the showcase, supported by the Housing and Local Government Ministry, would feature the 4E concept - education, exhibition, environment and experience - to help enrich visitors’ involvement with the nation's premier property showcase.

The showcase, he said, caters for those Below 40(B40) and Medium 40(M40) income, including those who plan to buy properties as an investment.

“This showcase is ideal for first-time house buyers to purchase their dream homes and those who plan to make future investments. Properties will be priced from RM120,000 to RM1.58million,” he said.

Roche said the showcase will also provide key information on do's and don'ts of buying property featuring renowned speakers who are all keen to share the latest tips and trends within the local property market.

He said among the topics covered by the speakers includes investing well in properties, achieving financial freedom, maximising one's housing loan and potential property in Pahang.

The six participating developers are O&C Properties (Kuantan) Sdn Bhd, Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS), Terengganu State Economic Development Corporation, Terengganu People's Housing Consortium Sdn Bhd, UDA Land (East) Sdn Bhd and, Housing and Local Government Ministry/National Housing Department.

In a move to assist visitors and prospective home buyers, Amanah Raya Bhd, National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) and Takaful Ikhlas will be taking part as an exhibitor at the showcase.

Meanwhile Harian Metro will also launch a special pullout focusing on property developers and owners during the showcase here on Sept 20.

Harian Metro's Executive Editor (Commercial) Husain Jahit said the pullout consisting between six to eight pages which will be included in the copy every Friday contain insights from housing developers and interview with home owners.

Admission to the MYRumah event here is free and buyers will also stand a chance to win a Nissan Almera in the 2019 MyRumah grand lucky draw.
