Selangor Dredging buys Puchong land for RM87.9mil for landed residential development

KUALA LUMPUR:Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) will construct a new residential development in Puchong, Selangor, consisting of 550 two- and three-story terraced houses worth a total of RM609 million.

  The developer intends to provide homebuyers with a product that is unique in terms of design, aesthetics, and safety.

  It has entered into a sales and purchase agreement for RM87.9 million to acquire approximately 29.19 acres of vacant leasehold land in Taman Putra Perdana, south of Puchong.

  Prestij Permai Sdn Bhd, SDB's wholly-owned subsidiary, signed the agreement with Xtra Touch Sdn Bhd on a 'willing buyer, willing seller' basis, after taking into account the market value as determined by an independent market valuer.

  According to the company, the land purchase is part of its ongoing search for suitable properties to add to its existing land bank. 

  The company told the stock exchange recently that the new land in Puchong faces a 20-acre lake and is close to major highways such as SKVE, ELITE, MEX, and Putra Link.

  SDB is currently working on two projects, 19Trees and Jia, in Taman Melawati, Kuala Lumpur, and Taman Bukit Serdang, Selangor, respectively. 

  According to reports, both projects sold at a rate of 80 per cent and 95 per cent, respectively.
