BA of Malaysia (BAM) believe the decision to ban Zulfadli Zulkiffli and Tan Chun Seang for 20 and 15 years respectively for match-fixing is reasonable as they could have had it worse, a life ban for that matter.
"I must admit, it is indeed a sad and shocking day for Malaysian badminton to know that a sport so close to our hearts had been tainted by match-fixing. If before, we only read about match-fixing in other sports, now this unsavoury practice has reached our doors," said Datuk Seri Norza Zakaria, president of the BAM.
