KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai’s fine run in the All England ended in the semi-finals yesterday.
Soon Huat-Shevon had no answer to the blistering game of third seeds Yuta Watanabe-Arisa Higashino of Japan.
The Malaysian duo lost 16-21, 13-21 in 37 minutes at the Arena Birmingham.
Nonetheless, reaching the last four was a creditable result for Soon Huat-Shevon.
Earlier, men’s doubles Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong had fallen at the quarter-final stage with a 20-22, 12-21 loss to Indonesians Muhammad Rian Ardianto-Fajar Alfian.
