Aaron-Wooi Yik play 'bridesmaids' at China Open

KUALA LUMPUR: The elusive World Tour title remains out of reach for Malaysia's Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik.

It just wasn't happening for the former men's doubles world champions, who went down tamely to Liang Wei Keng-Wang Chang 21-12, 21-14 in the final of the China Open in Changzhou on Sunday.

The defeat to the China world No. 3 was Aaron-Wooi Yik's fifth in six meetings.

Since its introduction in 2018, Aaron and Wooi Yik have reached four Super 1000 finals in the World Tour.

In June, the Malaysians reached the Indonesian Open final but fell short to India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy-Chirag Shetty.
