Zii Jia smashes Tze Yong to win Arctic Open crown

KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Zii Jia ended a 17-month title drought when he came out tops in the all-Malaysian men's singles final against Ng Tze Yong at the Arctic Open in Finland today.

World No. 14 Zii Jia was in imperious form as he outclassed Tze Yong 21-14, 21-15 in 39 minutes.

The last time Zii Jia tasted success was at the Thailand Open in May last year, which formed part of the back-to-back victories he attained along with the Asian Championships.

The latest win meant Zii Jia has four World Tour titles to his name, having also triumphed at the 2018 Taiwan Open, the 2021 All England and last year's Thailand Open.
