KUALA LUMPUR: Men's doubles Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik got their Asian Championships (BAC) campaign off on the right foot on Wednesday.
As expected, the former world champions marched into the second round after making easy work of India's Hariharan Amsakarunan-Ruban Kumar Rethinasabapathi 21-15, 21-14 in the first round at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre.
The world No. 5 will play Japan's Kenya Mitsuhashi-Hiroki Okumura next for a place in the quarter-finals.
Also reaching the second round were Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, who stunned homesters Chen Bo Yang-Liu Yi 21-15, 21-12 in the opening round.
The Malaysians world No. 18 will play Taiwan's Lee Jhe Huei-Yang Po Hsuan next.
