KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia are assured of a pair in the final of the Malaysia Masters after Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai and Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei made it an all-Malaysian affair in tomorrow's semi-finals.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei were the first to progress when they easily dispatched 2017 champions Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing 21-19, 21-14 at Axiata Arena here today.
Shortly after, newlyweds Soon Huat-Shevon Lai edged Rehan Naufal Kusharjanto of Indonesia12-21, 21-17, 21-17.
The last time Malaysia were represented in the final in the tournament was in 2017 when Kian Meng-Pei Jing pipped Soon Huat-Pei Jing to the title.
