Ciclista Sports wants to run 2018 LTdL

KUALA LUMPUR: Next year’s Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) could be organised and managed by Ciclista Sports Sdn Bhd by next March.

According to a source, representatives from the company have already held meetings with the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) to discuss matters only a few days ago.

"They have requested for technical assistance from MNCF for organising the hors classe status race.

"At the same time, they have also expressed the desire to organise a ten stage race, two stages more compared to last year’s edition,” explained the source.

Ciclista Sports Sdn Bhd organised this year’s edition of the LTdL.

However up till now, there has still been no official announcement from the Sports Ministry with regards to the matter.

The 22nd edition of the LTdL took place from February 22 to March 1 earlier this year involving eight race stages.
