ALOR STAR: Kedah Football Association (KFA) president Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah last night gave a send-off to over 700 Kedah supporters heading for the FA Cup final match in Shah Alam, Selangor.
The ‘Red Hawks’ supporters, who hailed from various districts in the state, departed at about 11pm from Wisma Darul Aman here on 16 buses.
Ahmad Bashah advised the Red Hawks supporters to uphold discipline and not to cause trouble during the match at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday night.
"The Kedah supporters must uphold the good image of the state by showing discipline," he said.
Ahmad Bashah, who is also Menteri Besar of Kedah, had pledged to give each Kedah player RM20,000 should they return here with the FA Cup.
Kedah are three time winners of the prestigious FA Cup (1996, 2007, 2008). –BERNAMA
