JDT earn a spot in the Malaysia Book of Records

JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) created history as the first-ever M-League team to make it into the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR) for their achievements since 2013.

JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim received four acknowledgments from MBOR chief operating officer Christopher Wong in a presentation ceremony held at a hotel here on Wednesday.

The Southern Tigers are the first team from Southeast Asia to win the AFC Cup (2015) as well as the first Malaysian team to win the Super League four times in a row (2014-2017).

"As a club, we should be successful both on and off the pitch. We should look to improve ourselves and not remain static.

"We at JDT never give up and we are never satisfied with what we have achieved. We are constantly challenging ourselves to compete at a higher level, especially in international competitions.

"When I took over in 2013, I saw the league as a benchmark. At that time, other teams did not look at the league. We, however, worked hard to improve ourselves to achieve our goals,” said Tunku Ismail
