Legal action on those who spread fake news, says Kafa

KOTA BHARU: The Kelantan FA (Kafa) have had enough with fake news on social media pertaining its Super League side.

The association have listed down social media accounts that have been posting fake news and are contemplating legal action on them.

Kafa president Bibi Ramjani Ilias Khan said fake news can taint the good name of the club and also affect the performance of players.

"Several Facebook accounts have been posting fake statements and quoting our office bearers.

"We are angry as there was a post on Facebook claiming that we will be dropping our foreign players which is untrue.

"We have listed down several Facebook accounts that have been spreading fake news," said Bibi.

Responding on a facebook posting that a foreign player will be replaced during the midseason transfer window, Bibi said: "There are no plans as yet as the team are doing well in the league.

"I want the person who posted this fake news to show himself in the open as we did not make the statement," Bibi added.
