JDT to make changes against Melaka

JOHOR BARU: Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) coach Raul Longhi confirmed that he will reshuffle his team when they play Melaka at Hang Jebat Stadium on Tuesday.

JDT centre-back Aidil Zafuan Radzak is definitely out as he will be serving a suspension following a red card against Terengganu last week.

Fadhli Shas will take his place and partner Brazilian Marcos Antonio in the heart of defence.

Longhi also indicated that he will reassess other positions before deciding on whether to make changes.

"Fadhli will replace Aidil and I believe the former will do well while Natxo Insa has regained his fitness and the Spanish-born will likely start in midfield tomorrow," said Longhi on Monday.

"Melaka under coach E. Elavarasan has improved but we are ready as I have analysed his tactics

"They have a good side with quality locals and imports, and we need to be cautious."

Longhi said a win on Tuesday will place JDT in a good position to win the league for a fifth straight time.

The club lead the standings with 41 points, 13 more than second-place Perak while Pahang are third on 27 with six rounds left to play.

"A win tomorrow will put us on the right track before our next match on July 10.

"However, the game against Melaka will be tough and we will have to produce our best in order to achieve our goal," Longhi added.
