TMJ invited to speak once more at prestigious football summit

KUALA LUMPUR: Tunku Mahkota Johor (TMJ), Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has been given the honour once more to address the Asia World Football Summit Asia (WFSA) which will take place for the first time on the Asian continent in April next year.

This latest development was announced via the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page and Tunku Ismail’s Twitter account yesterday (Wednesday).

Tunku Ismail has spoken at the World Football Summit before two years ago in Madrid, Spain and this year as well.

Based on the theme of ‘Where does Asia’s football industry meet’, Tunku Ismail is among a handful of leaders who will speak, with La Liga chief Javier Tebas and Paris Saint Germain’s Asia Pacific director of operations Sebastien Wasels being among the other notable speakers.

“The World Football Summit Asia gives the opportunity to influential leaders in the world of football to meet and discuss important, pertinent topics of interest that are related in one way or another, apart from generating business and marketing opportunities.

“It is platform for football’s elite and famous to mingle and get to know one another even better.

“I delivered a speech during the World Football Summit in Madrid back in 2016, and I was invited once more to do the same this year as well.

“This will be the first time that the summit will be held in Asia, and it will provide me with the opportunity and platform to share my experiences in managing Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) apart from the process of taking the Southern Tigers even further,” said Tunku Ismail.
