More misery for PKNS

PKNS FC’s rot in the Super League continued when they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Pahang in Kuantan on Tuesday, leaving them without a win in their last five matches.

K. Rajagobal’s side have been in shambles following the Selangor Government’s decision to convert them into a feeder club for the state team next season.

PKNS have only one win and three draws from their last 11 matches, and are eighth in the standings with 20 points.

On Tuesday, Pahang scored through Herold Goulon (33rd minute), Muslim Ahmad (42nd) and Matthew Davies (89) while Kpah Sherman (60) and Gabriel Guerra (66th) replied for PKNS.

Rajagobal was disappointed with his team for again losing focus, just like against Kedah and Terengganu.

“In football, a player needs to be focused throughout a match.

My players are repeating the same mistakes. We could have won a point, but no, we didn’t win anything ,” said the former national coach on Tuesday.

Pahang assistant coach Ahmad Shaharuddin Rosdi is happy with the win but is concerned with his forwards.

“We won thanks to Goulon, Muslim and Davies, who are defenders. Our strikers could not convert their chances,” he said.
