Azrizan Ahmad netted a double brace as Sarawak hammered Red Spade United 6-1 in the qualifying round of the FA Cup in Ampang Jaya on Saturday.
The former Protap FC striker scored in the 11th, 60th, 63rd and 81st minutes while Amar Muaz Zamri (73rd) and Hafizie Erwinshah (75th) netted the other goals after M4 League side Red Spade had taken the lead through Shafit Mujahid Ali in the second minute.
“It is a dream start to my career at Sarawak. I hope my four goals will give me the confidence for the upcoming matches.
“My goal this year is to help Sarawak return to the Premier League from the M3 League,” said Azrizan on Saturday.
With the win, the young Sarawak squad have qualified for the FA Cup first round.
Coach Sam Timbe said it is a good start, but his players need to work harder and perform better in both the FA Cup and M3 League.
