Malaysia held by Singapore in AFF Under-19

KUALA LUMPUR: National youth coach Hassan Sazali Waras is happy despite the scoreless draw against Singapore in an AFF Under-19 Championship Group B match in Jakarta today.

Malaysia, who defeated Cambodia 2-1 on Tuesday, dominated the match but were wasteful as they failed to turn their chances into goals. The team have four points after two matches.

"It was a good result despite the draw as we did not lose three points. Singapore was more organised in defence and did not give us space to play our normal game," said Hassan after the match.

"I made some changes in the second half, but we still could not get a goal."

Malaysia will play Timor Leste in their third group game on Saturday.
